About

I am Yasmin Aly, an artist with a background in media and graphic design and over eight years of experience in the creative industry. After studying Media and Creative Management, I began my professional career in branding and visual communication, developing a strong foundation in composition, storytelling, and visual clarity.

Over time, I felt a growing desire to move beyond commercial work and explore more personal, reflective narratives through art. My artistic practice has since become a space for observation, response, and expression - engaging with the world not only as it appears, but as it is experienced.

My work addresses themes such as anti-racism, equality, individuality, feminism, and the complexity of identity. These are not merely subjects within my work; they are values that shape my creative direction and inform the emotional and conceptual depth of each piece.

Working across various media, my process is intuitive and reflective, often rooted in social observation and lived experience. I aim to create artworks that invite contemplation, encourage dialogue, and foster emotional connection. Whether abstract or figurative, each piece is a response - sometimes subtle, sometimes bold - to the tensions and beauty present in everyday life.

Although my career began in design, I see this foundation as inseparable from my artistic practice. It taught me to see with intention and communicate with purpose - skills that continue to strengthen my visual language today. My work is guided by curiosity, empathy, and a deep belief in the power of art as a tool for connection, storytelling, and meaningful change.
